Community Coordinator – PAX-Program of Academic Exchange – Lovell, WY

PAX is an international non-profit, working with high school exchange students from 70+ countries! We are hiring for a Community Coordinator to represent PAX in Lovell, WY. An ideal coordinator is a motivated self-starter who has worked with/raised teens and wants to make a difference in their community on an international scale! Our most successful coordinators are those who have:

  • An active stay-at-home mom or dad
  • Are parents or have worked with teens for three or more years
  • Are involved in their local PTA and/or their local church
  • Are optimistic, enthusiastic, motivated, flexible self-starters
  • Have a desire to make a positive international impact
  • Have excellent communication skills in English
  • Must be 25 years or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a personal computer
  • Has lived in current community for three or more years

PAX coordinators are integral in connecting the organization with families and schools in their local communities. Typical responsibilities for a PAX coordinator include:

  • Securing placements with volunteer host families and local high schools for semester and academic year exchange students
  • Generating interest in your local community and working with volunteer families interested in hosting
  • Conducting orientations for host families and students
  • Providing support and guidance as students adjust to cultural differences and their host family environment
  • Giving your friends, neighbors, community members, and the international students they host the opportunity of a lifetime to share cultures and become family

The position boasts part-time, flexible scheduling, modest compensation on a commission basis, potential for annual international travel perks, and is managed from home. Many coordinators approach the position as a meaningful community service project with benefits, a second job, or an opportunity to pursue their interests and passions while making a contribution to their community. This is an independent contractor position; commission-based compensation is paid per student placed and supervised.
