Our client is a specialist manufacturer in unique portable solutions to the commercial sector. Currently they are looking for an addition to their small and friendly team, based North of the River. The position of Operational Customer Support will see you covering a variety of tasks and be instrumental in delivering an excellent client experience.
From the offset you will guide the customer through the initial stages of design and your continued involvement will help towards ensuring the project is manufactured and delivered to their satisfaction. The project/production team will also work with the customer however there will be a certain amount of cross over which the team enjoys. This rewarding role will see you working as part of a team to deliver the completed project services to your customers.
We are looking for someone with great customer service skills, and excellent organisational skills as it is such a busy environment with hundreds of projects per year. Most importantly you will bring the right attitude that will fit with the team and have the ability to learn quickly.
Previous experience of estimating in a small construction environment would be advantageous and the ability to take concept to production and beyond for the customer.
Responsibilities include, however are not limited to:
- Preparing formal quotes and follow ups
- Responds to requests for quotations and tenders by ensuring these are completed in a timely manner
- Drives the transaction between customers and the production of any new products
- Acts on behalf of the organisation in discussions with clients and their agents, subcontractors, site personnel, suppliers and the general public
- Ensures exceptional customer service is delivered to all customers
- Controls and coordinates project activities and ensures the assigned projects are completed to the satisfaction of the client and to meet quality, time and profit objectives
- Assists the Managing Director with any project that he/she may undertake from time to time
- Assists the company in achieving its HSEQ objectives as required
- Contributes in the achievement of the Annual Sales Budget
- Manages in-bound sales enquiries for products
- Assists to develop new customer relationships
- Maintains an accurate and up to date list of customer visits, meetings, calls and general notes against each customer
