This is a Full-time Maximum Term Contract for twelve (12) months at Perth Head Office.

About the Role:

This is a new role accountable for providing strategic support for our business to achieve its innovation capability objectives. The position will accelerate the initiatives and activities aimed at progressing Western Power’s innovation capability through leadership and advocacy with key business stakeholders.

The position provides specialist consulting and thought leadership advice and counsel on business transformational change and innovation programs within the organisation. It will lead the development of Communities of Practice to support the effective transfer of key skills and capability to the organisation, both through execution of projects as well as the development of self-serve tools and methodologies.

About you:

The successful applicant will be experienced and competent in the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in a related business discipline or commensurate significant industry work experience
  • 10 + year extensive, broad and progressive Innovation or transformation-related experience in a related area
  • Broad and/or deep knowledge coupled with contemporary experience in the development and execution of Innovation Capability and/or Strategic Organisational Development implementing strategies for innovation maturity improvement.
  • Ability to engage at all level of the organisation including Board, Executive and Senior Leadership with demonstrated ability to influence and guide decision makers
  • A seasoned professional with demonstrated ability to execute large, complex programs of work with the ability to provide significant guidance, advice, and counsel
  • Demonstrated capability to lead teams and individuals informally via a matrix structure across the organisation and deliver on set outcomes
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills and exposure to risk management and governance processes
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation and interpersonal skills
