About the Role
As Product Technology Specialist, your primary function will be to demonstrate the agronomic and economic benefits of John Deere integrated systems and products to the dealer network, so they are capable, confident, and pro-active in demonstrating the productivity gains through precision agriculture to their end user (both ag/turf and construction/forestry) customers.

Reporting to a Dealer Business Manager based in head office (Brisbane), you will work closely with dealers in WA, and customers to understand their problems and develop solutions to solve them or value add through integrating John Deere Technology Systems and Products. This will include providing support, education, and training on agronomic based products, solutions, and farming systems to dealers, supporting and executing strategic initiatives to support and drive sales growth.

You will be required to travel frequently within the dealer network, and you will attend Field Days, shows, trade, and other events that provide opportunities for the understanding and promotion of John Deere products.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience establishing and maintaining relationships within the dealer and customer network
  • Customer centric with a desire to understand a customer’s problem and being driven to find a solution
  • Be familiar with Australian and New Zealand farming practices in production agriculture, ideally with exposure to broadacre cropping
  • Have hands-on experience using precision technology and software
  • Ability to take initiative – jump on challenges and embrace the new and unknown
  • Thrive in a culture of empowerment and delivering results
  • Driven to continuously improve – challenging the how and the why
  • Be an exceptional communicator (both written and verbal).

Formal qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering business, agriculture or related field will also be highly regarded.

There is some flexibility regarding the location of this position in WA, with the successful candidate working from a home office and within 2-3 Hrs of an airport.
